Women Entrepreneurs: The Age of New Statistics & Visions

It is no longer a man’s world! Every place is being haunted by the woman and a growing urge for equal footing has created a place for women in this so called man’s world. Today’s women is not only balanced personally but ambitious thus glorifying each and every industry she steps in.

With time there has certainly been a change in the entire outlook of women owning small and medium scale businesses. The year 2013 has reversed many statistics. In the current scenario we still have around 10% women who are not very optimistic about their approach or business while entering the new year of 2013. At the same time around 66% women are highly optimistic and 24% are entering this New Year with the same level of optimism as the last year. This 66% is indeed a high cap and with the coming years you might just see a higher level of optimism.

What are these women optimistic about?

Of the women who are either highly optimistic or just about optimistic 81% hold optimism towards their overall business growth and performance, 74% are concerned with their economic growth, 85% are optimistic regarding the growth of women entrepreneurs while 73% are optimistic about the results that marketing would give them.

Of the various business tools available 87% value to the company is added by Website design and maintenance. Social media marketing and SEO add up to 75% of the value while 66% is added by Email marketing. Of course being a women entrepreneur is certainly not an easy job. There are many issues that women face on a daily basis. Some issues faced by women are state of the economy at present, business tax issues, health insurance cost and affordability and an access to quality workforce. Small businesses are yet to create a mark in all these areas and women are still walking a tough road and hence these issues are kind of big for the women entrepreneurs.

This year most women have decided to change their focus from increasing their business to increasing their marketing spends. They feel if their product is marketed well they won’t have issues selling them. Of the various marketing tools present 85% importance is going to be given to Website, 71% to social media, 44% to mobile marketing, 69% to SEO and 31% to E-Commerce.

The statistics does show a very nice and happy picture for the coming year for women entrepreneurs. The world is changing its outlook towards women entrepreneurs and the respect level for them is growing with time. Who said that women can’t run a profitable business? Whoever said that must be regretting especially after seeing the ever growing statistics of businesses owned by women.
